When do I apply to graduate programs in the U.S.?
Traditionally, to begin graduate study in the United States in September you need to apply to the university in January-March.
What age is accepted to graduate programs in the U.S. and who can enroll?
There is no age limit for graduate study in America. However, you must have at least a bachelor’s degree to enroll in a graduate program. Some programs, such as some MBA programs, often require work experience as well.
List of application documents for admission to graduate programs in the USA:
- Completed admission form
- passport copy
- Proof of educational background (bachelor’s degree, high school diploma, etc.)
- Certificate of language examination (IELTS, TOEFL, etc.)
- Other test results (GRE, GMAT, LSAT, MCAT, etc.)

- motivational essay
- letters of recommendation
- proof of funds for tuition and fees
- proof of payment of the application fee.
Some graduate programs also require applicants to submit additional documents, portfolios, or ideas for future research projects.

Can I get into a U.S. master’s program with poor grades?
Despite the strict admission requirements of master’s programs, it is possible for a foreigner to enroll in a U.S. master’s program with a low GPA. For this purpose there are graduate school preparatory courses in America, such as Pre-Master, Graduate Pathway, and Pre-MBA.
These courses are held at universities and allow you to meet all the admission requirements of the chosen master’s program. After completing the course, the student can enroll directly into a master’s program.
